So what exactly is 'Probate'?

Probate is the legal process of administering the estate of a person who has died, and it refers also to the document that recognises the authority of properly appointed 'executors' to deal with the assets in a person's estate.

Probate - What We Do :

  1. Initial processing of documentation
  2. Completion of Probate Questionnaire
  3. Case review including verification of Will
  4. Instruct valuer for property and/or land
  5. Obtain confirmation of account balances as at date of death
  6. Preparation of Schedule of Assets and Liabilities
  7. Arrange the clearance of any property where necessary
  8. Instruct Estate Agents regarding the sale of any property
  9. Arrange the provision of conveyancing services where required (an additional fee will be charged for these services)
  10. Arrange Independent Financial Advice regarding property insurance and investment issues that arise
  11. Instruct counsel where issues of a technical nature arise or where there is a challenge to the Will
  12. Arrange valuations and sale/transfer of stocks and shares
  13. Complete Tax Returns and file with H. M. Inland Revenue
  14. Obtain final accounts from utility companies
  15. Archiving and storage of documents
